Richard Perkins has an exemplary background in the grain industry with over 13 years’ experience in domestic and international grain markets. Richard has previously overseen the trading and risk management of over one million tonnes of grain per annum and one of Australia’s largest pool marketing and input finance programs. Richard uses his extensive professional experience to lead business development strategy and the Advisory team in new and innovative directions to support our grower clients throughout Australia.
He has qualifications in agricultural systems, applied finance and advanced management and has a strong global network within the grains industry. Richard has extensive experience facilitating grain origination in Australia having previously managed trading programs for both Australian and European-owned trading companies and prior to joining Market Check was the Australian Trading Manager for CHS Inc., the largest co-operative in the US. Richard is committed to leveraging his experience to increase productivity and returns for Australian growers through innovation and collaboration.
