Head of Strategy
Nick is integral in managing the sales and execution of the Market Check pools, alongside Tom Basnett. Nick’s experience and expertise is put to good use in helping add value to Market Check grower members. Nick improves grower returns through strategic trading and execution in the Australian domestic market, while also managing and developing suitable risk management strategies.
Nick is well placed to take on this important role at Market Check having previously helped develop the Australian business of US based multinational, CHS Trading. Nick assisted CHS in establishing a foot print in the Australian domestic market and also successfully managed the CHS Pool, as well as the NSW/QLD domestic trading book, equalling in excess of 600,000mt per year.
Nick has a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from Sydney University and previous career experience with Agfarm and also with Meat & Livestock Australia in their Trade & Economic Services team.
