Australia’s August wheat exports drop 37pc from July to 847,181t

Australia exported 847,181 tonnes of wheat in August, well down on the five-year average for the penultimate month of the crop year, with domestic demand from the drought-hit eastern states diverting tonnage away from normal export channels.
